They represent one of the most effective solutions for achieving a perfect seal on rotating shafts. They differ from common lip seals in their resistance to pressure, temperature and wear. The main parts that make up the TRL are: the metal support, usually made of AISI 304, and the sealing lip, made of PTFE/Graphite, capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 250°C. They are able to disperse heat exceptionally well and eliminate all problems caused by overheating. The high self-lubricating power of the seal material allows operation at peripheral speeds of up to 30 m/sec, guaranteeing a long service life and good seal operation even in the absence of lubricant. The use of PTFE for the seal also guarantees excellent chemical resistance and the operating temperatures range from -20°C to 250°C with a maximum pressure of 24 bar.
